Simone Mohrs is a Senior Policy Officer at The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities. She leads the association's digital research work, focusing on AI and Deep Tech and the health policy portfolio. Previously, she worked at MedTech Europe as a Manager for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and New Digital Technologies, leading the association's work on AI and the EU Artificial Intelligence Act. Before that, she was a Policy Officer at the European Hospital and Healthcare Employers' Association, where she led the EU Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the Health Sector, successfully running multiple EU-funded projects and Work Programme negotiations.
Simone's international experience is a testament to her global perspective. She has worked at the Association of the European Self-Medication Industry in Brussels, the public affairs consultancy Burson-Marsteller in Berlin, and at ReAct in Sweden, a global network dedicated to the problem of antibiotic resistance.
