Athanasia Symeonidou has a PhD in engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her research focused on computer-generated holograms. As a self-taught software developer with a multidisciplinary background (physics, telecom engineering, holography), Athanasia has a deep understanding of immersive technologies and the prerequisites for great user experience and technical feasibility.
Currently, she works with the Human Interface Technology Lab of Howest University of Applied Sciences where she develops innovative XR applications for various sectors and researches XR applications enhanced with biometrics.
