Whitney Buchanan is an American project and communications specialist, writer, and activist based in Berlin, Germany with a decade of experience. She is the founder and Managing Director of Ruman Project, a grassroots organization working to foster Christian-Muslim relations and support refugees. Whitney obtained her masters degree in Global Affairs and International Cooperation from the American University in Cairo. She also has a bachelors degree in Religious Studies and Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. Whitney is originally from rural Appalachia in East Tennessee and has worked in the United States, Uganda, Egypt, Turkey, and Germany. She currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
