Valentina Barbagallo is an independent consultant helping progressive organisations navigating the European Union bubble. Valentina is currently leading EU resource mobilisation campaigns for global mechanisms working on health, food security and agriculture and providing NGOs with high-level advocacy strategies on the EU budget. As EU policy & advocacy lead for The ONE Campaign, Valentina helped securing ground-breaking transparency legislation on anti-money laundering and played a leading role in converting an imminent cut to EU aid into nearly 1 billion euro in additional funds for development. Valentina previously worked at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU and at the European Commission Representation in Milan. She holds an M.Sc. in Law from Bocconi University and an M.A. in EU Political Studies from the College of Europe.
