Theodora Adekunle is a political advisor at NATO headquarters in Brussels, responsible for the political aspects of Alliance operations and missions.
Since 2003, Theodora has worked on NATO operations in the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, as well as maritime operations in the Gulf of Aden and the Aegean.
Before joining NATO, Theodora directed the International Crisis Group’s research department and was responsible for strategic policy advice on issues such as state sovereignty and the responsibility to protect, transitional justice and post-conflict stabilisation strategies.
Theodora is passionate about sharing knowledge and motivating the next generation. She regularly lectures at schools and universities, drawing on her experience as a professional woman in international security
