I am an interdisciplinary researcher in peace, conflict and security studies with over 20 years’ experience in the international development, humanitarian disarmament and humanitarian aid sector. I am experienced in researching conflict and complex contexts; my research intersects with humanitarian disarmament issues especially in Mine Action and Humanitarianism broadly defined. I have a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and a PhD in peace and conflict from the world-renowned University of Bradford’s Department of Peace Studies and International Development.

- February 2020 - Invited Speaker ‘Mine Action and the Environment’, 23rd International Meeting of Mine Action National Directors and UN Advisers (NDM-UN23) paper presented ‘Triple vulnerability’ - Climate, Conflict and Contamination; the humanitarian implications of intersecting climate, conflict risk and contamination from mines and UXOs.
- 12th February 2020; UN media - took part in a press conference on mine action and the environment and interviewed by UN Radio on the same; United Nations, Geneva.
