Sofiia Shevchuk is a Research Assistant to an MEP Dr Hannah Neumann, at the European Parliament and a Database team coordinator for Brussels Binder. Sofiia is also a working student in MSc Conflict and Development Studies at the Ghent University. Considering her interests in women participation in the security and defence sphere, Sofiia is a member of the Steering Committee with WIIS Brussels.
After the studies at the College of Europe, the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies program she worked as a Research Assistant for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Prior to this, she worked for the Security and Defence programme at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Brussels office. Before, she was also working for the Visegrad Insight magazine, covering Central European security and foreign policy. Sofiia has also received experience in the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, and Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland. She is a graduate of a joint degree in International Relations and European Studies at Ĺazarski University and Coventry University.
