I am a historian of nuclear sciences with an emphasis on radioactivity, radiation protection, and nuclear diplomacy. A physicist by training, I earned my PhD in Science and Technology Studies at Virginia Tech (VT), U.S.A. I hold an MA in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the National Technical University of Athens and an MA in Philosophy from Virginia Tech.
I was recently awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant to study the history of radiation protection and the role the International Atomic Energy Agency has played as a diplomatic and political international institution in shaping radiation policies and nuclear diplomacies.
I have been very active in organizing conferences, symposia and seminars in my field. I have extended experience in teaching, coaching and advising students.
I organize museum exhibitions and act as science advisor in film industry.
