Dr. Raquel Ureña, has been awarded with the Prestigious Marie Curie Individual Felowship in 2016 and she graduated from her PhD in Nov. 2015, under the Supervision of Prof. E. Herrera-Viedma, Highly Cited researcher in the area of Engineering. In spite Dr. Ureña short research career, she has already published 11 papers in highly regarded international journals in the CI area, 4 of them highly cited according to the ISI WoS with a total of 351 citations. She has contributed research in many leading international conferences in her area of research. Dr Ureña has proven capabilities to work in European and international research teams. In 2016 she was visiting researcher (VR) in the Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche Informatique, France, under the Supervision of Prof. Guy Melancon. In 2014 she was VR at the University of Southern California (USC-USA) under the supervision of Prof. Jerry Mendel, a world leader in the field of decision making and type-2 fuzzy sets, while in 2012 she was a VR at the De Montfort University in the United Kingdom under the supervision of Prof. Chiclana. During her PhD, Dr. Ureña has also gained industry perspective and software development skills in top technological companies in Europe: Microsoft and Google. In Google, the ER was selected to attend an Android Camp in London Google Offices, where she gained a very valuable insight in mobile development in Android, and where she developed an android application that won the Google Android Hackathon ( http://tinyurl.com/h8qs6ca ). In Microsoft Norway, the researcher carried out a software development internship that involved the Delve mobile platform, and she gained strong background in software development and testing, project management at industry level and agile methodologies. Raquel has received two awards for the innovation and dissemination of her research, and she has also been invited to give talks about her research on decision making systems under uncertainty in USC and in IBM research office in Zurich (Switzerland).
