Patrizia has been working as an advocate for global justice at the intersection of human rights, environment and development for more than 15 years. She leads the European Environmental Bureau’s work on sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), follows intergovernmental processes at the UN level, and supports projects on environmental democracy, EU enlargement and neighbourhood policies as well as environmental justice. She was previously Executive Director of the NGO Shipbreaking Platform, a global coalition of 19 environmental, human and labour rights organisations. She has 20 years of experience working in and with non-profit organisations in Europe and South Asia. Patrizia has graduated in Comparative Literature and Political Science and holds an LL.M in International Human Rights Law.
Patrizia has been speaking at events and international conferences for more than 15 years including at UN-level, in European institutions, for NGOs and trade unions. She has given various TV and radio interviews in English, German and French to leading media outlets across Europe and Asia.
Patrizia is also an experienced lecturer having worked with students, amongst others, for the University of Munich and IHECS (Brussels School of Journalism).
