Elsa is Senior Associate in the European Climate Foundation’s External Relations team. Her main mission is to ensure that the world of philanthropy is aware of the devastating effects of climate change and commits to advance a low-carbon society; as well as to create partnerships with foundations interested in doing so.
Since a young age Elsa has been driven by two ideals: promoting common good and fostering a multicultural world based on international cooperation. This is what led her to join the then-recently created ECF as early as 2009. Before being part of the External Relations team, she worked for different thematic programmes mostly on climate policies as well as industry and innovation. Elsa also has experience in business associations, public institutions and foundations, mainly in Brussels but also in India. Elsa studied political sciences and European affairs at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Strasbourg (France), the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany) and at the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium).
Aside work, Elsa is a keen reader of novels and philosophy. She is very committed to gender equality and is currently volunteering for The Brussels Binder, a platform aimed at promoting women’s voice in policy debates.
