Neva is the business sustainability lead for Africa and Middle East for Syngenta. She is leading on the business sustainability work for a leading global agtech company covering a geography spanning from Turkey to South Africa. Prior to joining Syngenta, Neva worked in the EU. During her 10 year career in the EU, she worked in the Commission, Parliament and Committee of the Regions and was in a Secretary General role. She has frontline political experience. She has led political campaigns and stood as a candidate in the 2019 European elections and 2019 UK General Election.
Neva's professional experiences have included working at the United Nations Development Programme and the Washington DC based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Think-Tank. She was previously a visiting scholar at the Think-Tank Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey and an International AILA Fellow at the CSIS.
She holds a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, an undergraduate degree from the University of Kent in Canterbury and an exchange diploma from SciencesPo Paris. She received the ERASMUS scholarship for her year in Sciences Po in Paris.
