Nadine holds a bachelor and master degree in Life Sciences & Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Leiden and TU Delft and is currently finalising her PhD in synthetic biology at the INSERM & the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity in Paris.
Nadine is an experienced communicator about synthetic biology and co-founded Science Matters in 2011 to bridge the gap between science and society.
The company trains researchers in science communication and is involved in several EU Horizon2020 consortiums as outreach partner. Moreover, she is a global faculty member for synthetic biology at Singularity University Benelux and informs international executives and governmental institutions about new developments in the field.
In 2016, she was appointed Vice-President of Hello Tomorrow. Hello Tomorrow is an international non-profit organisation for science entrepreneurship with 10+ international hubs around the world. Since 2015, more than 15k science startups have applied to their global startup challenges and our 25 finalists have already raised more than $300M.
