I am an interdisciplinary scholar, published author, researcher, and university educator with specialization in art history, museums, and human rights. I hold a PhD in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario (Canada) and have worked for 15 years intermittently at Lakehead University in the departments of Visual Arts, Gender and Women's Studies, Philosophy, Anthropology, Film and Media Studies, and the Social Justice Graduate Studies Program in Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada). I am a published author in the peer-reviewed academic journals, Curator: The Museum Journal; Green Letters: Studies in Ecocriticism; Canadian Journal of Disability Studies; Gender Forum; and Word Hoard. My published articles focus primarily on museum displays and contemporary art that convey historical forms of scientific racism and the ways in which decolonial artists respond to human rights violations through international exhibitions. I also have experience as a human rights advisor, academic editor, event coordinator, and art gallery curator. I am currently living in the European Union (Belgium).

Dutch, English

I have been invited to present my research to academic institutions (9), present at academic conferences (19), and chair conference panels (2), nationally and internationally
