Enthusiastic individual with 15 years of international experience in politics, journalism, public relations, political consulting, media-related actions and communication policies. Especially knowledgeable in political developments and political representation of national minorities in the South East-Europe/Western Balkans.
Focus-oriented, priority and timeline driven with variety of approaches to decision making. Confident in handling new tasks, flexible in assignment, effective in public presentations and able to write in-depth research reports. Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds, to live and/or serve in hardship locations. Ability to deal with conflict management and dispute resolutions. Tolerant to stress and able to deal with conflict. Skilled team leader with great planning and problem solving skills, and with triple-hatted portfolio and particular ability to provide strategic direction to my team.
My understanding of the media landscape, developed through my career as a journalist, gives me the ability to propose communication policies that precisely address target groups. Such approach ensures that the organisation of public outreach events are tailor-made, ultimately assuring an increase in public understanding of the actions undertaken by the Mission I work for. I am also able to organize high-level PR events and other PR related work. In my role as Principal Spokesperson in public institutions and non-governmental organisations, I was in charge of leading press and media departments and developing strategic communication and media plans. Whilst a member of the Press Department of the European Union Police Mission to BiH, I participated in developing several public awareness campaigns that the Mission conducted jointly with BiH law enforcement agencies (“Stronger, Faster Better”, “122 – Your police”, “Corruption Takes Everything From You”, “Dare!”, “Think”, to name just a few), aiming to strengthen relationships between police and citizens. Our anti-organized crime campaign "Dare!" won the 2009 European Excellence Award. Following trends in social media is something that I introduced into the OSCE Mission’s political office. Additionally, adapting messages to be conveyed to communications technologies, has also been one of my major tasks.
