I am a multidisciplinary, multi-award-winning US-Greek dual national. Originally trained as a solid state inorganic chemist specializing in lithium batteries, my career has spanned across education, government, manufacturing, policy, consulting, and business development. As a patented inventor, I advocate for the inclusion of women and girls in STEM. My passion for and involvement in climate and the environment comes from my lived experience through the destruction of my hometown of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
I am very proud and honored to have been recognized as a Kavli Frontiers Science Fellow by the US National Academy of Science (2023), a Climate Fellow of the Aspen Institute's Tech Policy Hub (2022), an E2 / 1 Hotels Fellow through the Natural Resources Defense Council (2021), a Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (2020), a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster (2019), and a AAAS-Lemelson Invention Ambassador (2018).
