Consular officer at the Irish Embassy to Belgium, fulfilling a broad range of tasks in a small and very active mission.
Has a background in EU-Asia affairs, with focus on security and defence cooperation, in particular towards Northeast Asia. Holds an MA in International Studies from Seoul National University in South Korea as well as a MA in European Studies: Global and Transnational Perspectives from KU Leuven in Belgium.
Steering Committee member for Women in International Security (WIIS) Brussels. Co-organizer of the WIIS mentoring programme. Has helped organize various events for WIIS, including: moderating a conversation with Ms Benedetta Berti (NATO Policy Planning), a panel discussion with NATO SG's SR for Women, Peace, and Security Clare Hutchinson, on the occasion of the launch of the book 'NATO, Gender and the Military' in discussion with the authors, and a 'speed dating' conversation with a group of EU CSDP Gender Advisers.
During a year spent studying abroad in South Korea, has engaged actively with the regional international security policy field, among others as:
- Student delegate at the 2016 Jeju Forum: Asia's New Order and Cooperative Leadership (South Korea), May 2016.
- Guest delegate at the first Yenching Academy Symposium of Peking University, March 2016.
