As Head of Cyber Culture practice at NVISO I help companies to address unsafe users behaviors applying educational initiatives relevant to their environment.
I am an active member of the Belgian Cybersecurity Coalition where I work with other specialists from public and private sector to share experiences and boost the security education for Belgian citizens; and of ENISA ad-hoc Awareness working group, where we work towards a better literacy on cybersecurity for all European citizens.
I served at the European Commission as advisor for VP Neelie Kroes on Digital Agenda.
Prior to this I worked over 10 years at Accenture, as Cybersecurity and Infrastructure consultant.
I hold a Computer Engineering degree by Pontificia de Comillas – ICAI University (Madrid).

Prior to NVISO, Mercedes worked as an information security and
infrastructure manager at Accenture for 10 years.
