I was born in Brussls, my father in Belgian, my mother is Peruvian-Chinese. I studied English Literature and Linguistics, International Relations at KULeuven and European Studies at the LSE in London.
As an alderwoman I mainly work on cultural policy and community life. I facilitate initiatives from citizens, local NGOs and artists. I believe it is crucial that all of the events we support should be accessible to anyone. I also favor initiatives that bring communities together. Ixelles is a very diverse commune and initiatives such as street celebrations, sharing food together, enjoying concerts and public art in the streets of Ixelles stimulate trust and understanding. These are precious goods. In the wake of the Brussels attacks, distrust has been on the rise.
