I am a researcher in the Energy Economics and Regulation (EER) group at DTU Management Engineering. My research focus is on energy policy and market design, using quantitative economic analysis with focus on investment and risk aspects (with models drawing from finance theory); Economics of offshore wind; Dynamic energy transition processes; Feasibility studies of energy projects, including investment appraisals; and Innovative renewable support policies, including auction design.
I hold a PhD in Energy Economics from the Technical University of Denmark from 2014 (Risk implications of energy policy instruments). Before starting research at DTU in 2011, I worked in the energy industry, at RWE AG and DONG Energy A/S (now Ørsted), for nearly five years, after having received the German equivalent for an MSc degree (Dipl. Wi-Ing.) in Industrial Engineering and Management (EUM) from the University of Flensburg in 2006.
