I am currently in charge of the Single Market, EU industrial policy and space policy at the Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the EU. As a representative of Luxembourg at the Council of the EU for more than a decade, I have negotiated seminal EU legislation such as the roaming regulations, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Digital Services Act (DSA), the Digital Markets Act (DMA), cybersecurity legislation and privacy laws. I was also head of the Council negotiating team that led to the conclusion in trilogues of the GDPR under Luxembourg Presidency in 2015. Following a sabbatical outside the EU, I joined the Brussels office of Vodafone Group to work on data, artificial intelligence and privacy policy. Happy to be able to draw on long-standing professional experience in EU affairs since 2004 in both the public and private sectors, I am also recently training and teaching on EU negotiations and how to demystify the EU bubble.
Coming from a small, multinational and outward-looking country, I remain passionate about the European project - even in testing times.
I hold degrees in political science from universities in the United Kingdom and the United States.
