Laura Lecci is EBN's current CEO ad Interim and former Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for overall coordination of EBN's activities: team, resources and finances. She also coordinates EBN's involvement in EU-funded projects.
Working at EBN since May 2012, previously Laura was a Project Manager. She animated the Bioeconomy Special Interest Group of the network and managed most part of the EU funded projects in this topic, mainly focusing on supporting research projects in the ICT sector to start up and scale up, such as SmartAgriFood, TRAFOON, CommBeBiz, ACTTIVATE. Laura coordinated as well the Startup Europe project WeHubs, the 1st European network of women web entrepreneurs’ hubs. Currently she overviews the 3 international centres development (CEBRABIC, ERICENA, NearUS) and manages FET2RIN and ESIL EC contracts as well.
M.A. graduate from the University of Trieste (Italy) in International and Diplomatic Relations, in 2011 she obtained a diploma in Cooperation and International Development at ISPI (Institute for International Politics Studies). Before joining in EBN Laura worked at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation Department and then in the Brussels liaison office of ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development.
