I spent 8 years in Washington, DC working for a variety of public interest advocacy organisations on a number of different campaigns. These include but are not limited to Public Citizen, Center for Media Education and the Armenian General Benevolent Union. 4 years of my time in DC was spent working in the Sinn Féin Office during the height of the peace process. I had a front row seat to the negotiations and it was an deeply profound experience that has fundamentally shaped my view of how social change occurs. For the last 15 years I have been with Amnesty International Ireland. Not limited to solely working in Ireland, I also have extensive experience working with the wider global human rights movement in Europe, Africa and Latin America. My areas of expertise are in campaign strategy development, human rights based approaches and grassroots organising to name a few.
