I'm working with The Democratic Society to develop participatory and deliberative democracy across Europe. Projects I've worked on in 2017-18 include:

- Exploring models for a 'Networked European Democracy'
- Providing guidance and expertise to participatory budgeting projects across Scotland, incorporating digital tools for engagement
- Facilitating civil society engagement in the Open Government Pioneers project in Scotland, and supporting development of a new network around Open Government in the EU
- Collaboration to develop the 'Incubator for Participatory Democracy'
- Citizen participation in setting priorities for research and innovation
- Developing a 'participation framework' for the Scottish Government
- New models of engagement and democracy in Students' Union's
- Design and delivery of workshops on topics including engagement and participatory methods, digital tools and online engagement, economic regeneration, and process design.

I've got prior experience in community projects; informal education; Students' Union's and higher education; working with young people; and gender equality campaigns.
