Katya is a thinker, not a clicker. With her work, she aims to clear architectural design and modeling of dull and repetitive tasks so that designers can dedicate all their resources to what they do best – design.
Katya is part of Archilizer – an award-winning BIM consultancy based in London. She has 5 years of architectural experience in various international architectural practices prior to embarking on her consultancy journey. She has worked in the Residential and Sports sectors but her most significant experience has been in Healthcare.
Currently, Katya supports world-renowned architecture practices such as Alisson Brooks Architects and Grimshaw Architects in their endeavors to deliver competitive digital information to their clients. She is working on Residential, Infrastructure and Masterplanning projects.
Katya has always been deeply involved with the learning and development in her workplace and has additional experience as a personal tutor. She has always happily stepped up to teaching opportunities in-house everywhere she has worked and has also had the opportunity to share her experience and knowledge publicly at various events in the UK and abroad. At the start of 2019, she thought a course on the fundamentals of BIM at Aston University.
In 2019 Katya was named one of the top 4 UK Construction Week Role Models among 400 applicants. She was nominated for this accolade by a fellow Women in BIM core team member where Katya dedicates a lot of her time to promote diversity in the construction industry. Other volunteer organizations she has been involved with include The Stephan Lawrence Trust, Built By Us, Architecture LGBT+ and Grimshaw LGBT+.
