Julia is a policy fellow and project manager for the Younger Generation Leaders Network (YGLN) with the European Leadership Network since 2018. Prior to this, she has held a position as research assistant with the research division on "International Security" at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin from 2017-18. Before moving to Berlin, Julia has worked as a project assistant with the organizational team of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) from 2016-17.
She completed her Master's degree in Political Sciences at the University of Hamburg in 2016, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Political and Communication Sciences from LMU Munich and the University of Vienna.
During her studies, Julia gathered broad journalistic and academic experience, working for various institutions, newspapers and organizations in Germany, South Africa, New York and Brussels, including the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Süddeutsche Zeitung and the University of the Federal Armed Forces.
Julia is a vice-chair of the YGLN and a member of the Réseau nucléaire et stratégie - nouvelle génération (promo 2017/18).
