Legal researcher with a firm grasp of legal concepts, theories and an ability to communicate them to a range of audiences. I excel in building relationships, both with peers and those whom I supervise and have a natural ability to deliver presentations. My research areas include human trafficking, human rights, criminal law, gender and ethics. I am a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Human Trafficking (Taylor & Francis) and published a book on the non-punishment of victims of human trafficking with Palgrave Macmillan. I work as a Research Manager at Trilateral Research and as a Support Worker at a safe house for victims of human trafficking. I have advised on State implementation of EU and Council of Europe law. I have worked on numerous large-scale research projects, including three on human trafficking. I have delivered training on human trafficking issues to students, law enforcement, NGOs, faith groups and business. I have a good success rate of attracting external funding and research grants.
