Jill joined Dublin-headquartered communications consultancy Hume Brophy in 2015 to head up its Brussels office. She has 20 years’ experience in international and EU-focused communications and public affairs across a wide range of sectors including energy, environment, food, real estate and financial services.

Before joining Hume Brophy Jill was Deputy General Manager in Brussels at global PR firm Edelman for 6 years, leading multi-market campaigns and crisis communications programmes.

Before becoming a consultant, Jill worked in in-house public affairs roles for 10 years, including as Director of Government Relations Europe for Genworth Financial, a Fortune 500 financial security company with responsibility for France, Germany and Switzerland as well as Brussels; and as head of the public affairs function for the world’s largest member organisation in land, property and construction in which capacity she was a member of the European Commission's expert group on mortgage credit, and was secretary to the European Housing Forum.

Jill also has experience of working for an international NGO, and started her career in publishing.
