Jamila is a consultant/ educator and board member. She currently serves on the government appeal advisory commission set up to advise on the childcare benefits affair the Dutch Cabinet fell over early 2020. Furthermore, she sits on several boards such as World Press Photo and for a wide range of international clients, Jamila provides consulting and coaching services with a focus on (political) leadership; empowerment; diversity & inclusion and education. The Covid pandemic provided a great opportunity to go back to college and pursue a degree to teach business and economics, and is currently doing her teacher’s internship at a gymnasium.
Previously, Jamila served as Vice President of FNV Young (2008-2011), the youth network of the Federation of Dutch Trade Unions and as Dutch women’s representative to the United Nations (2017).

Jamila is an alumna of the US State Department’s ‘international visitors leadership’ program and Friends of Europe’s ‘40 under 40 European Young Leaders’ program.
