Irene has a background in EU public affairs and communications. After graduating in International Relations, she moved to Brussels to deepen her knowledge in European affairs. Her professional experience built on EU sustainability, first from a regional and industrial perspective and then with a specific focus on the energy sector and renewable heat. In Bioenergy Europe she is responsible for the coordination and strategic development of advocacy activities. Being an Italian native speaker, Irene is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of Spanish. In her free time, she is a volleyball fan and player.
