Izabela Kielichowska is a Managing Consultant at Ecofys in Brussels. Izabela has more than 17 years of experience in developing and evaluating energy- and climate policies, advancing energy technologies and stakeholder management in power markets discussions globally. Her core expertise lays in the area of renewable energy technology developments, renewable energy integration into the power markets and power markets design with focus on intermittent renewables. She has supported renewable energy developments in the European Union, Eastern Europe, CIS, Mexico and Mongolia. Izabela has rejoined Ecofys after six years as GE’s Government Affairs & Energy Policy Director, covering the region of Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS, where she contributed to the regulatory and policy debate and coordinated stakeholders’ interaction with public authorities across the region as well European institutions. From 2011-2015, Izabela was a chair of the working group dedicated to deployment of wind energy in the European Wind Technology Platform Initiative, managing various stakeholders in designing R&D funding needs for wind technology. From 2011-2016, she also actively worked at the Renewable Energy Industry Advisory Board at the International Energy Agency, interacting with government representatives from across the world. In 2016, Izabela was chairing the Baltic Sea Offshore initiative (BASOF) – gathering all wind energy stakeholders across the Baltic sea to create a coordinated approach towards the wind offshore developments in the region, under the umbrella of the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan. Izabela's professional interests are related to power markets design for better integration of intermittent renewables, decarbonisation of the power sector and power markets regionalisation.
