I'm a Marine Earth Observation Scientist seeking to develop and facilitate the growth of innovative uses of satellite data to solve societal challenges. I am interested in large international initiatives for this, including the Copernicus Programme. I dedicate substantial time to outreach and training, particularly with regards to new media and innovative approaches to learning.
I have been involved in the design and filming of two Massive Open Online Courses, short youtube videos, and development of online lessons for Earth Observation. I have assisted in the organisation of conferences, chaired sessions, given introductory keynotes, and presented my research on numerous occasions. I have written pieces for a large number of online blogs and print publications.
