Hannah Brandt is currently a postgraduate student in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe, where she is writing her thesis on Humanitarian Aid and Conditionality in the Eastern Partnership countries. She is also a Research Assistant to Professor Oxana Shevel's investigation of the counter-revolutions in Ukraine's Donbas region at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute.
Prior to this, she worked for the Sanctions Termination program at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), the Hudson Institute and the Caucasus Research Resource Center, in Yerevan, Armenia.
Before, she was also working for the European Student Think Tank and the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research, covering European and East Asian security and foreign policy.
At the College of Europe, she is involved in the Young Diplomats Society, Transparency International, and the Security and Defense Network.
