Hanna Schneider is an associated PhD Researcher in the Migration, Diversity and Justice cluster of the Institute for European Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her PhD project focuses on refugee resettlement and explores the agency of refugees within the resettlement process.
Before joining the IES, Hanna worked as a project manager in civic education in Berlin. Focusing on EU asylum policies, she was responsible for conceptualizing, organising and conducting simulations of EU negotiations for university and high school students and teachers. She has also analysed and evaluated EU policies on development cooperation and is experienced in intercultural consultation.
In the last years, I gave many presentations on EU asylum policies and international refugee protection to a diverse audience ranging from scholars and humanitarin practitioners to festival-goers.
