A chemical engineering by training, Giulia has worked as a Systems Engineer Consultant for innovative transport and energy projects within smart cities architecture in the UK and Australia.
Her expertise in Sustainable Infrastructures and Climate Change has brought her to be a delegate and speaker at several conferences including UN COP24, UNLEASH the Yunus Social Design Lab in Bangladesh and G.STIC.
Giulia is a leading persona of the European Footprints, a project raising awareness of environmental issues and SDGs in a European context and engaging communities with sustainability local initiatives.
Giulia has been a fellow at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Climate-KIC Pioneers into Practice Programme, where she developed innovative carbon capture membranes. She is a local leader Women@EIT initiative, where she raises awareness of women in scientific professions.
After and experience in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy Ms Marzetti is now overseeing Horizon 2020 projects at the forefront of transport and innovation technologies. Ms Marzetti also delivered a training on fusion energy, a very innovative topic which is constantly raising questions. Her expertise are in energy transition, clean transport, sustainable industries, energy storage and batteries, and youth activism.
