Passionate about chemical and environmental issues, Geneviève De Bauw focuses on the identification, analysis, understanding and handling of political and NGO stakeholders’ perceptions and expectations in relation to sustainability and chemicals management.
She supports individual corporations, trade associations and ad hoc consortia of companies to help them ascertain sustainability strategy options, and frame these into operational implementation plans.
Geneviève has over 25 years of experience, developed in various consultancy (EPPA, FTI consulting), corporate (Dow Chemical) and trade association (BusinessEurope) positions. She is fluent in English and French and has a working command of Dutch.
Her education includes degrees in Political Sciences (Catholic University of Louvain), European Affairs (College of Europe, Bruges) and Environmental Management (Free University of Brussels).
Based in Brussels, Geneviève works as a freelancer, collaborating notably with the UetlibergPartners network of sustainability experts.
Geneviève is also active in the field of arts and culture; she runs a film production company, Thank You & Good Night productions, focusing on documentaries and features of human and social interest. She is a member of the French-speaking Belgian Film Selection Committee
Throughout my career I have taken part in many panel discussions and more recently I have acted as a facilitator for various meetings (conferences, strategy development sessions, stakeholder dialogue).
