Flaminia graduated in 2002 at the Université de Paris, Panthéon-Sorbonne and Universität zu Köln in French and German Law with a particular focus on European and International Law. In 2003, she obtained an LL.M. in European Law at the College of Europe, Bruges. From 2007 till 2013, she worked for 6 years at the European Commission, in particular in DG MARE, covering the subsidies aspects of the Common Fisheries Policy. Since 2013, Flaminia has been working as EU Fisheries Lawyer at ClientEarth on the implementation of the reformed Common Fisheries Policy. Flaminia is passionate about the environment in general and believes in the importance of protecting it through law. She is also convinced of the benefits that nature provides for the human soul and wellbeing.
