Fiona Fanning is Director of European Affairs for Pearson Vue. Previously Secretary General of CEPIS, the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies for a number of years and General Manager of ECDL Foundation in Belgium, responsible for European policy and advocacy, EU communications. She is an active member of the European e-Skills community for several years in various capacities.

As part of her work in advocating for the promotion of digital skills and certification in Europe, she serves as co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the European e-Skills Association (EeSA), a community of stakeholders supporting the development of digital literacy and e-skills in Europe; a high level advisor to the European Centre for Women and Technology (ECWT) and an advisory board member to Telecentres Europe.

Fiona graduated with an international B.A and a Masters Degree in Translation specializing in Law. She also holds a Diplôme d'Etudes Universitaires Françaises from the Université Lyon III, France. Her previous roles include Director of Beyond Words Translation Services, Director with the America Red Cross, and Project Manager for an international relief and development agency in West Africa.
