Diana is a versatile international project manager with 5+ years of project experience and background in European, American and Hungarian policy-making and entrepreneurship support. She is the co-founder of Impact Shakers, a global impact accelerator and venture builder studio.
After a Blue Book traineeship at EASME and a high-level human rights fellowship in Washington DC, she had started her professional career at the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Hungary in the department of Financial Instruments. She was responsible for the Managing Authority’s microcredit, guarantee and venture capital Operational Programmes in the field of social skills development and youth entrepreneurship.
She moved to Belgium in 2015 to start working for Startups.be, a startup support organisation, where she spent 2,5 years to implement, manage and build large-scale EU-funded innovation projects (H2020 - ICT) while she was cementing her presence in the European startup ecosystem as a policy expert. She played an instrumental role in building the European Startup Network, an umbrella organisation uniting 24 startup associations and +25 000 startup entrepreneurs in Europe.
As a result, she gained in-depth knowledge of EU policy-making, funding and grant management in the startup and innovation domain, which she has been putting in practice as a fundraising and policy consultant ever since.
Her latest work was writing policy recommendations from a regulatory and non-regulatory point of view on the CEE and Western Balkan regions. As a philanthropic move, she co-founded StartITup Gyor, Hungary’s fastest growing local startup ecosystem where she is advising on strategy, international relations and communication.
