Constanze has more than 17 years of work and research experience in the “EU bubble”. She holds a PhD on informal decision making processes in the European Parliament.
Since 2018 she is working for a start-up on a flagship energy storage technology and setting-up a community consultancy
She set up the Brussels office of Green Budget Europe (GBE), a unique Europe-wide expert platform and provided tailored analysis and financial strategies to the EU institutions, Member States and a wide network of key stakeholders by promoting Environmental Fiscal Reform, i.e. working towards enhancing the energy transition by raising awareness that misaligned fiscal policy leads to false price signals which incentivise pollution, inefficient resource use and the erosion of natural capital.
Constanze is also the co-founder of a European think tank on sustainable development as well as a guest lecturer at several universities in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Constanze she has published a wide range of scientific and policy papers on sustainable finance and environmental economics, smart budgeting, circular economy and good governance.
