I am a German–Sri Lankan professional working at the intersection of digital policy, innovation, and European affairs. With over eight years of experience in both public and private sectors, I focus on how digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation shape the future of business and society. Currently, I work on internet policy and digitization at the German Retail Association (HDE), contributing to national and EU-level policy dialogue, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication. Coming from a working-class background, I built my career across industries and countries, moving from the shop floor to the EU level. This path has shaped my commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities, and amplifying diverse voices in Europe’s transformation. My previous experience includes a Blue Book Traineeship at the European Commission (EISMEA), where I supported innovation policy, standardization, and market surveillance, as well as roles in organizational development, diversity and equity, and international business development. I have completed all coursework for a Master’s degree in International Business and Management with a focus on transformation and innovation, and I am currently finalizing my thesis. Alongside my professional career, I engage actively in civil society and networks advancing diversity, participation, and women’s leadership.
