I graduated as a Civil Engineer at the University of Brussels in Belgium in 1992.In 1993, I joined SGS Environment as an environmental consultant and auditor. In 1997, I was appointed Manager of the Brussels-Walloon Department of SGS Environment and became Member of the Board of SGS Environment. In 2000, I joined the cement industry as Environmental Engineer in Cimenteries CBR (HeidelbergerCement). In 2003, I was seconded to CEMBUREAU and appointed as CEMBUREAU Technical Director in 2005. Through my career, I developed a strong knowledge of the EU and international regulatory and legislative processes as well as the cement industry. I contribute to the development of strategies in order to ensure that the cement industry evolves in a sustainable manner within an appropriate framework and through advances in efficiency and technology.
On the private side, I am passionate at outdoor adventures and sport, and spend my free time rowing, sailing, skiing, hiking and cycling.
