Chiara is in charge of leading developing, implementing and monitoring the advocacy strategy and plans of the End FGM European Network and monitor policy developments at national, EU and international level since 2017. She is managing the Advocacy team at and is responsible for advocating for the implementation of EU and international commitments to end FGM through liaising with decision-makers and policy-makers in national, EU and international institutions.

Chiara has previously worked in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), including for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and in the field of human rights and European advocacy within the Brussels Office of the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT). Moreover, she has extensive academic and field research experience in gender studies, women’s rights, gender-based violence and SRHR, and published several articles on these subjects. She has volunteered for years within the Italian section of Amnesty International in the Women's rights department and educating against gender-based violence in schools.

Chiara holds a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Rome and a European Master in Human Rights and Democratisation from the European Inter-University Centre (EIUC).
