Dr Charlotte Thorley is a freelance science communication, public engagement and involvement consultant, working from Brussels to support the development of structures to support public engagement with research on an international level and championing responsible research and innovation (RRI). She was previously at Queen Mary University of London where she established their nationally recognised Centre for Public Engagement. Charlotte is an active researcher of public engagement exploring how researcher perspectives influence the effectiveness of engagement, and is currently supporting a range of clients to reach new audiences and maximise the impact of their work through her engaged approaches.
