Charlotte Leroux is an experienced Naval Architect who joined Principle Power 5 years ago driven by her innate curiosity and passion for complex problems and continuous learning. During her time at the company she has performed various engineering studies, she analyzed data and carried out a structural analysis of the WindFloat1 prototype platform and has been leading several company teams for R&D projects, including the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project focused on the next generation of 10+MW floating offshore wind turbine. As the nascent floating wind sector is evolving at a daunting pace Charlotte finds that at Principle Power there are endless opportunities to learn more about the physics of a complex system, explore the market environment and to further advance the company’s WindFloat technology on its route to the market. And this is what drives and motivates Charlotte in her daily work. She thrives in a multi-cultural environment and is strong advocate of team work, both of which she is able to enjoy in her current job. Charlotte graduated in mechanical engineering with a focus on naval architecture from Ecole Centrale de Nantes.
