Bruna is an experienced professional in Peace, Security and Defence.
She is currently working as a Project Manager with the Department of Peace Operations of the Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR). In her daily work, she focuses on the development of political and practical cooperation initiatives towards a more strategic and coherent approach to social polarisation and to the drivers of radicalisation and violent extremism in Europe and beyond.
She is currently coordinating the implementation of two large-scale EU-funded projects, whose aim is to holistically tackle these challenges by sharing useful tools to strengthen key capacities and empower communities while promoting peace and preventing conflict.
Bruna completed an LL.M. in International and European Law, where she specialized in International Humanitarian Law, Counterterrorism and the use of force. Her final dissertation focused on the growing threat of violent extremism and radicalization leading to terrorism.
