Currently a researcher at the Centre for International Studies | CEI-IUL in Lisbon, I am an experienced energy security, defence and conflict expert, working in the field of energy security, energy transition and climate change, risk assessment of gas and oil supplies, resilience of critical energy supply infrastructure, natural gas and oil trade, conflict resolution, as well as working in the field of policy analysis and policy-building recommendations for EU-level stakeholders, acquired both as a researcher, as well as a professional working for international organisations.
Since 2019, I have been collaborating with the EU’s European Defence Agency in the framework of the long-term project "Consultation Forum For Sustainable Energy in the Defence And Security Sector". I obtained a Ph.D. in International Politics and Conflict Resolution at the University of Coimbra in Portugal, and I also worked for the European Court of Human Rights of the Council of Europe.
