Dr. Anna Irmisch is a member of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Stewardship Advisory Committee. Before serving the European Climate Foundation as Climate Finance Program Manager and Engagement International as Advisor, Anna ran environmental, social & governance-related (ESG) engagements with listed companies worldwide on behalf of institutional investors and was also leading dialogues with policy makers, regulatory bodies, industry associations, civil society, and other stakeholders. Prior to that she worked as a lobbyist for an NGO on European sustainable finance policy, in international development on innovation, as a strategy consultant in the software industry, and sociologist on sustainability ratings. The Fulbright alumna obtained her PhD for analyzing the influence of sustainable investing on multinational corporations. Having studied in Germany, Denmark, and the USA, she holds university degrees in political science, sociology, media science as well as intercultural business communication. Anna is supporting the journal Business Ethics and the German-American Fulbright Commission as invited peer reviewer.
