I specialise in the Post-Soviet region and have worked on its relationships with civil nuclear capabilities, the Arctic, and the maritime domain. My work explores how states construct and express their identities by ascribing different and nuanced meanings to materiality.
I am a DPhil (PhD) Researcher in Area Studies of Russia and Eastern Europe at St. Antony’s College, University of Oxford. In 2023, I was selected as a Grímsson Fellow by the Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson Centre.
In addition, I specialise in inclusive and accessible teaching methods. At Oxford, I teach Area Studies Research Methods, International Politics, and Russian and East European Studies.
I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In addition to accreditation with Advance HE, I am certified in ‘Autism and SPELL in Higher Education’ by the National Autistic Society. At Oxford, I regularly teach neurodivergent students and students who experience specific learning difficulties (SpLD).
