Angelina Atanasova is a PhD Researcher associated with KU Leuven and a Researcher at the L'Observatoire social européen. At the core of her work is research and analysis of socio-legal issues in the realm of gender equality, disability and fundamental rights overall. Recently, her work has been devoted to a research project on the increasing threat of fundamental rights in the context of the rule of law crisis in the Central and Eastern European region. As a Re:constitution Fellow, she was exploring judicial independence and legal mobilization for fundamental rights in Hungary and Bulgaria. She is fascinated by empirics and in her free time by friends'stories about life.
